Avocado and green clay face soap is meant to be used daily, is unscented and is best for sensitive and combination skin types. Designed by a soil and water chemist, this soap contains calcium bentonite, a green clay that gently exfoliates and removes impurities from the skin and pores. Calcium bentonite is considered an absorbent clay because when water is added the molecular structure swells with the additional water molecules, due to this swelling it makes a great clay to trap impurities found on the skin. Calcium bentonite can absorb negatively charged ions and acts as a detoxifying agent.
Avocado oil is a natural source of beta carotene, lecithin, oleic acid, and vitamins A, D, and E which help moisturize and protect skin from damaging UV rays, increase collagen metabolism and decrease redness. Studies have shown that the use of avocado oil on skin can increase collagen production, renew skin cells and speed up wound healing.
