Hello!
We've noticed a huge spike in followers and thought it would be a great time to introduce ourselves, Julie and Sean, owners of Dissertation Soap.
In 2014 Julie started Dissertation Soap, while she was in graduate school, as a way to address her family's eczema and skin allergies. Seeing a need for responsible, science based all-natural remedies she started selling her soaps and lotions online which quickly became popular. She finished her PhD in Environmental Science from University of California, Riverside in 2019 and committed herself full time to developing Dissertation Soap and STEM driven workshops.
Sean came aboard early 2020 as shop manager to keep up with the demand of products. Sean is a second degree black belt in jiu jitsu, head professor at Carlson Gracie Riverside and professional UFC coach. His background in fitness, contact sports and men's grooming has helped define our brand. He recently became a partner in Dissertation Soap and helped shape the line of athletic products you have seen launch this past year.
