Timeline: Introductions, overview of materials, safety and instructions, soap handling basics, heating and additives, proper technique, storage, tips for additional soap, Q&A.
Learn the basics of melt and pour soap making in this live virtual DIY workshop. Each attendee will learn how to use glycerin soap base, proper handling and safety instructions, how to mix in clays and botanicals, loofahs and custom scents. Each kit includes all the raw materials needed to make 4 custom soaps and detailed instructions on how to make soap.
Learning objective: Learn how glycerin soap is made and benefits on skin. How to properly melt glycerin base, add clays, botanicals and essential oils. How to pour base into molds, package soap to get the most out of your soap.
The workshop will last for an hour and is suitable for ages 12 and up. Please wear close toed shoes for safety, all other personal protective equipment will be provided.
Attendees must provide microwave, microwave safe bowl, heat resistant spoon and large knife.
